Chula’s Mexican-Latin Food & Spirits Announces Grand Opening in Downtown Prior Lake

The wait is almost over, Prior Lake!

After months of construction, creativity, family stories, flavor development, and an incredible amount of community support, we are thrilled to officially announce that Chula’s Mexican-Latin Food & Spirits will open its doors on Friday, May 22, 2026.

Located in the heart of downtown Prior Lake, Chula’s was built to be more than just a restaurant. It is a place rooted in familia, culture, community, and the shared experience of gathering around incredible food and drinks.

From handcrafted cocktails and street tacos to Latin-inspired specialties, every detail of Chula’s has been thoughtfully designed to create an energetic, welcoming atmosphere where guests can celebrate life together.

• Sunday–Thursday: 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM

• Friday & Saturday: 11:00 AM – 11:00 PM

Reservations Open May 20th

Reservations will officially become available beginning at 8:00 AM on Wednesday, May 20 through our online reservation platform, resy. You can access through our website directly or by visiting https://resy.com/cities/prior-lake-mn/venues/chulas-prior-lake

We highly recommend booking early as opening weekend reservations are expected to fill quickly!

Online Ordering Available

Guests will also be able to enjoy Chula’s from home with our online ordering platform, available through our website at launch for convenient takeout ordering.

Whether you’re joining us for lunch downtown, dinner with family, cocktails with friends, or taking your favorites home, we cannot wait to serve you.

Introducing Happy Hour at Chula’s

Starting opening week, Chula’s will offer Happy Hour every:

Sunday–Thursday | 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Available exclusively in the main bar area.

Happy Hour specials include:

• Drink specials

• $1 off all street food & tacos

It’s the perfect excuse to stop in after work, meet friends downtown, or experience a taste of Chula’s before dinner service.

Built on Familia

The name “Chula’s” comes from owner Manny Perez’s family, a term of love passed down through generations. That spirit of family and connection is at the center of everything we do.

From our team and partners to the artists, builders, local organizations, and community members who helped bring this vision to life, we are deeply grateful for the support we’ve received throughout this journey!
