🧽 Position Summary

The Dishwasher at Chula’s ensures every dish, utensil, glass, and kitchen tool 🍴 is cleaned and sanitized to perfection. Your efficiency and attention to detail keep the kitchen moving, support the front-of-house, and create a safe, hygienic environment for everyone

🌊 Responsibilities

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, silverware, and kitchen equipment quickly and thoroughly 

• Operate and maintain industrial dishwashing machines according to safety standards 

• Scrape, rinse, and load dishes into racks; unload clean items to their proper storage locations 

• Keep the dish pit and kitchen area clean, organized, and safe 

• Monitor dishwasher chemical levels and report when supplies run low 

• Sweep and mop floors, remove trash, and clean floor mats regularly 

• Assist with basic food prep or unloading deliveries during slower periods 

• Follow all health, safety, and sanitation regulations carefully 

• Support kitchen and front-of-house teams to maintain a clean work environment

💪 Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8 hours) 

• Ability to lift and carry heavy dish racks or trash cans up to 50 pounds 

• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand and arm movements 

• Comfortable working in a hot, humid, and wet kitchen environment 

🌟 Experience

• Previous experience in a high-volume restaurant dish pit preferred but not required

• Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends 

• Motivation and a strong work ethic—training is provided for the right candidate 

• 💵 Compensation

• Starting wage: $14/hour
